Le Monde Chooses Marrakech Among 20 Destinations to Visit in 2017

Marrakech Top Vacation Spot for Londoners
The city of Marrakech is reinforcing its position as one of the world’s most attractive destinations. A few days ago, the New York Times ranked Morocco’s Red city 11 in their 52-place list and encouraged its readers to visit a number of its emblematic historical sites.
French daily newspaper, Le Monde, also recommended Marrakech in its 20-destination list, along with attractions in other countries across the globe including the Sultanate of Oman, Colombia, Zimbabwe and Mongolia.
The article, titled “Where to Travel in 2017,” states that since the World Climate Summit, COP22, “Marrakech has a new terminal,” referencing the newly inaugurated Marrakech-Menara airport terminal.
”Hotels are always more numerous and the high-end hotel construction market has soared to unprecedented levels,” it added.
Marrakech’s inclusion in Le Monde’s list came few days after Air France unveiled its plan to reopen its  Marrakech-Roissy air route at a frequency of three flights per week.
This decision, announced by the company’s Managing Director for North Africa and the Sahel, Denis Hasdenteufel, in a press conference in Casablanca on January 5th, came just a few days after the world’s largest hotel search website, Trivago.fr, listed Marrakech as the 7th most preferred destination for French tourists.
